Some recyclers offer high prices only to reduce them once they receive your phone.

Many recyclers will deduct value for reasons such as:

  • Cosmetic wear and tear
  • Damaged or loose battery cover
  • Phone received with PIN lock
  • Phone received with flat battery

Many recyclers will automatically pay you a reduced value or charge you to have the phone returned. We don't think this is fair.
Zextons want every sale to be simple, quick, rewarding and honest.

Fast payment, and the full price

Our price promise guarantees you receive the full price quoted for your sale provided it meets our Terms & Conditions of Supply.

Once we receive your phone or device, if we find they do not meet our Terms & Conditions of Supply and the order value needs to be amended, we will email you a revised offer for your approval. If you are not completely satisfied with the revised offer, you can request to have the revised phone or device returned to you FREE of charge.

Revised orders will be automatically processed for payment if you do not reply to our revised offer email within 14 days. Price promise does not apply to blocked (registered lost/stolen) phones or devices.

Six things to check before you sell anywhere

Not every recycler works the way we do. Whoever you sell to, these are the questions worth asking first — the answers are what separate a real price from a headline one.

  • Is the quoted price actually guaranteed?

A headline price means little if it can be cut once the device is out of your hands and you have no leverage.

We pay 100% of the quote, or return the device free.

  • Who pays to send it back if you decline?

Some will only return a device if you cover the postage, which quietly pressures you into accepting a lower offer.

Returns are always free, whatever you decide.

  • Do they revise offers without asking?

An offer changed and paid in the same breath leaves you with a smaller payment and no say in it.

Revised offers are emailed for your approval first.

  • What counts as a deduction?

Cosmetic wear, a flat battery or a missing battery cover are sometimes treated as faults worth deducting for.

Normal wear is expected and already priced in.

  • How long is the price held?

If a quote expires the moment prices move, the figure you agreed can be gone before your parcel arrives.

Your quote is held for a full 14 days.

  • Is postage genuinely free and tracked?

Free postage that is untracked leaves you with no proof and no claim if the parcel goes missing.

Prepaid, tracked, and covered up to £150 as standard.

Selling safely — your questions

The things people most often want reassurance about before posting a device to anyone.

5 of 5 questions shown

We email you a revised offer explaining exactly what we found and what it changes the value to. Nothing is paid until you reply. If you would rather have the device back, we return it free of charge — you are never obliged to accept.

No games, no surprise deductions

The price you are quoted is the price we pay, or your device comes back to you free of charge. That is written into our terms.
